I felt empowered while learning
I came to Alvin to help me with planning and working towards my career goals in education. Up to that point, I had a rough plan but I didn’t seem to be moving much with it. Working with Alvin allowed me to first find clarity about my goals and about my thought processes. I realize that at the time, my thoughts were muddled and all over the place. I believe he could see that and helped me work through it. I was also able to identify blindspots in my thinking that were holding me back. For example, options I had never given much thought to and things I had believed were out of reach for me.
I think what was best about it was that he did not give me the solutions but allowed me to process and find them myself. It didn’t feel forced and consequently I felt empowered while learning how to think right. I still benefit from what I learned even now in other areas of my life. I have since taken good steps towards my goals and am motivated to keep at it with a clearer perspective. I would encourage anyone considering Alvin’s coaching sessions to give it a go. Having someone alongside can really help with things and even more so with someone like Alvin. He is someone who takes a genuine interest in you and is adept at supporting you through his coaching.
